Katie manages Lwala’s strategic communications and business development, while working closely with the Health System Strengthening team to develop and execute Lwala’s advocacy strategy for community-led health. Katie is a global health professional with more than 10 years of experience in driving policy change, implementing advocacy strategies, and collaborating with local partners, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Lwala, Katie worked for PATH (first in the advocacy & public policy department, and then as the policy & advocacy lead for the sexual & reproductive health team), as well as Amnesty International Australia. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Katie is a storyteller, facilitator, and dot connector who finds joy in taking technical content and weaving a narrative about why Lwala’s work matters.
