Wycliffe Okoth Omwanda

Program Manager, Clinical Training

With more than 16 years of experience, Wycliffe has led the charge to improve the community he works in by expanding access to healthcare and collaborating with public health facilities to raise the standards of healthcare provided to comply with universal health coverage requirements. Before joining Lwala, Wycliffe worked for AIDS Relief as the Head clinician, caring for more than 15,000 HIV-positive individuals. He holds a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and International Relations, and currently pursuing a Master's degree in health system management. A certificate in project management from the University of Washington, a certificate in leadership and management from the University of Washington, and a certificate in counseling and programming for infant and young child feeding from Cornell University are among the other courses taken. In addition, Wycliffe is a Trainer of Trainers in Emergency Obstetric & Newborn Care (EmONC), where he helped in the development of the updated National EmONC Mentorship Curriculum.
