Ms. Mary Mulusa, has over three decades experience in development. She is currently a Senior Operations Officer in the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) which mobilizes and overseas the allocation of funds to more than seventy of the World’s poorest countries. She has extensive experience leading health and social sectors aid architecture issues, coordinating resources management for country teams across key priority areas including regional approaches across countries and key priority areas (gender; human capital, support to fragile and conflict-affected countries; crisis response; results). Ms. Mulusa also served for many years as a World Bank Senior Public Health Specialist and Team Leader for Health, Nutrition and Population programs - supporting efforts to increase national coverage of essential health services and multi-sectoral approaches for addressing disease outbreaks including HIV/AIDS and COVID-19, with specific responsibilities in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Mulusa worked closely with governments, donor partners and civil society groups. Prior to joining the World Bank, Miss Mulusa was a Senior Economist in the Ministry of Finance and Planning in Kenya. She holds a master’s in development economics from Williams College in Massachusetts; a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University; and, a Post-graduate Bachelor of Philosophy in Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi.
